This the review comparison between the 2010 Ford Territory and the Honda CRV. The Ford Territory is an Australia only model however you can import them privately or limited numbers as grey imports in other parts of the world. The Ford Territory (SYII) is a larger car than the Honda but due to the frequent pricing specials bring into the direct competition wiith the mid-range Honda. Pricing specials only apply to the 2WD version which happens to be one of the few rear wheel drive SUV available new in 2010. The Ford Territory gives a good impression when you get in the car. Good quality materials and lots of family friendly features. The quality of materials is very good and the interior design that you can physically see is also good but doesn't have that precision you see in the Honda. Specification and review comparison below. |

The Ford Territory's exterior design is nice. We like the traditional SUV look that has not really aged compared to some other designs. The Honda The Territory's interior design and materials are pretty good and very similar to the Ford Falcon sedan. It feels worth the price and one of the better ones for this type of vehicle. The sedan like arrangement makes it feel more car like than the CRV. The Territory is also bigger which also helps. The Ford Territory drives really well. It is the powerful engine that ultimately makes the difference and secondary the good handling. The problem with the CRV is of course the smaller engine which is great amongst its natural 4 cylinder competitors but not the Territory. The Territory is quieter and rides better on the road too. It also scores top marks in the safety tests. We can't really say much more than - you should really give the Ford a go when deciding which car to buy in the small SUV class. Mind you when shopping in this category you should also give the Nissan Murano a go too... weird isn't it.
