Here is a comparison between the Honda CR-V and the new 2011 BMW X3. The BMW X3 (F25 series) is like most of the compact SUVs we've been looking in that they vary greatly in size. The original X3 is relatively small and fitted in the compact SUV class but the new X3 is now one of the larger models. Firstly we think that you can only be buying the newest BMW X3 for its assumed superior engineering rather than looks. Cars half the price have just as much engineering as the BMW although lacking the badge. For example Honda and Subaru. We think this because the new BMW X3 in the real world looks slightly awkward and out of date. It reminds us of what South Korean cars look liked that where released in the early 2000's. We agreed that the proportions are not quite right - just like the 150 series Prado. The interior looks much better and the
quality of materials has improved noticeably from the 1st generation X3
which was very cheap in feel.
Since its just been released we haven't driven one yet and hopefully it will
be an improvement over the previous model too. |

Since there is not much specific information on the 2011 X3 we've left the details empty until fully available. If you really want the latest X3 we suggest you wait because we are not sure you'd want one of the least stylish cars on the road BMW or not. We know it does stand out but in the wrong way. Due to the X3's backward step Honda has an easier task of ensuring the new CRV's interior is at least a match for the X3.
